Golfrey Pena Jr.

Our beloved father, Golfrey Pena Jr, entered into eternal rest on Friday, December 19th, 2025 at a nursing home in Alice, Texas, at the age of 80. He was born on July 4th, 1945 to Golfrey Pena Sr and Celestina Mendez in Hebbronville, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Golfrey and Celestina (Mendez) Pena; beloved brothers Olivero, Mario, Corando, and Jorge Pena; sisters-in-law Elma and Lucy Pena; son Rene Arnoldo Pena; and great-grandson Nathan Arredondo.

Golfrey leaves behind many precious memories that will forever be treasured by his wife and children, Lieu Pena, of Alice Texas; Golfrey (Amy) Pena, III of South Carolina, Melva Pena Vera of Victoria, Texas, Dina Pena of Alice, Texas, Edwin (Delma) Pena of Kingsville, Texas, Marcia Pena (Jimmy Jr.) Bueno of Victoria Texas; Cristina and William Pena of Alice, Texas, siblings, Tranquilino, Carlos, Juan (Thelma), Silvano (Pam), and Albert Pena; his sister Irene (Moe) Miller, and sisters-in law Zulema and Oralia Pena, all of Texas. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren as well as many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A Visitation will be held 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Friday, December 26, 2025  at Holmgreen Mortuary 2061 E Main St. Alice, Texas. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 29, 2025 at 10:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, 504 E. Santa Clara St, Hebbronville, Tx 78361.
