Duane Robert Kizer passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, surrounded by his loved ones, at his home in Kingsville, Texas. He was 50 years old.
Duane was born on November 5, 1967 in San Diego, California to Magdalena and William Joseph Kizer. He was a veteran of the United States Army as 2nd Lieutenant, having served in Iraq. He also worked in Iraq for 3 years as the theatre operations manager of Power Generation.
Duane was a wonderful husband and father. He was a very faithful man. He had a bond like no other with his son, Kevin, and recently reconnected with his oldest son, David, which made him very happy. He was very generous, always giving and trying to help others. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fishing.
Duane was preceded in death by his father, William Joseph Kizer.
He leaves behind, to treasure their memories, his wife, Priscilla of Kingsville, two sons, Kevin of Kingsville and David of Combs, Texas; his mother, Magdalena Kizer of Kingsville; three brothers, Brian (Karen) Kizer of Houston, William Joseph Kizer, Jr. of Houston, and Donny (Fe) Reyes of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Grace Kizer of Houston, and Dalena (Steven) Croxton of Kingsville; two brothers-in-law, Jose Flores and David Flores, both of Kingsville; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Flores of North Dakota and Linda (Daniel) Gonzalez of Corpus Christi, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
Visitation with Family Receiving Friends will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 29, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel in Alice, Texas.
Funeral Service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at the Epiphany Episcopal Church, 206 N. Third St. in Kingsville, Texas with Reverend Jan Dantone officiating.
Interment will follow at Santa Gertrudis Memorial Cemetery in Kingsville, Texas.
Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas.
