Baldemar F. Medrano, Sr., age 83, went to be with the Good Lord on March 6, 2018.

He was born on April 19, 1934 in Alice, Texas to Juanita and Francisco Medrano.

He served his country during the 1950s in the United States Army. He was self-employed and was the owner of Coastal Bend Construction Company until his retirement. Afterwards, he enjoyed spending his days tending to the ranch.

He was a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Orange Grove where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Baldemar was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita and Francisco Medrano; his brothers and sisters, Willie Medrano, Ramon Medrano, Julian Medrano, Damacio Medrano, Rosa Garza, and Bascilia Garcia-Molt.

He will remain in the hearts of his loving wife of 62 years, Eloisa Medrano of Orange Grove; his children, Alfred Medrano, Alma (Noel) Medrano, Rose Medrano, and Baldemar Medrano, Jr., all of Orange Grove, and David (Joanna) Medrano of Alice; his brother, Frank (Elvira) Medrano of Florida and his sister, Evaista (Bobby) Hughes of Indiana; as well as his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.

A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church in Orange Grove. Interment will follow at St. John of the Cross Cemetery in Orange Grove, Texas.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas.
