Larry Allen Hartman, age 69, was welcomed into Heaven with opened arms on Monday, March 5, 2018.
He was born on January 27, 1949 to Helen and Ewald Hartman in Mathis Texas.
He worked as a pipeline supervisor in the oilfield until his retirement. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Robstown, Texas where he served part-time as a Synodically Authorized Minister with the ELCA. He loved singing in the church choir and sang with the Corpus Christi Choral for several years.
His favorite pastime was fishing and he was known as “Catfish Red” to friends and family.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
His memory will live in the hearts of his loving wife of 36 years, Laurie Hartman of Orange Grove; his daughter, Gayeleen Uzzell of Myrtle Beach, SC; a step-daughter, Heather (John) Bevly of Odem; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Donald E. (Glenna) Hartman of Kerrville and L. W. “Billy” (Merline) Hartman of Orange Grove as well as numerous cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 600 Dibrell St., Orange Grove, Texas.
