Wanda Lee “Nonie” Swan passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
She was born on August 5, 1928 in Nolan, Texas to Mae Edith and Frank Albert Magee.
She was retired from the Jim Wells County Courthouse as Deputy Tax Assessor-Collector after 45 years. Her hobby was crocheting and she called it Sweet Things by Swan. She enjoyed gardening, camping, cooking, baking, and especially spending time with her family. Throughout the years, she enjoyed collecting swans.
Nonie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 41 years, W. F. Swan.
Nonie is survived by two daughters, Reva (Steve) Bourque of Madison, Alabama and Burma (Randy) Kincaid of Bandera, Texas; five grandchildren, Heather (Terry) Songy, Jeff W. (Sherri) Swan, Kenny (Sabrenna) Bourque, Michiel Crosman, and Robyn Bourque; four great-grandchildren, Gavin Wayne Swan, Nicholas and Thomas Songy, and Gracelynn Bourque; and one sister, Mildred (Donald) Sharp of Edmond, Oklahoma.
Visitation family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church, 77 N. Adams St., Alice, Texas with Pastor Kris Bair officiating.
Interment will follow at Alice Cemetery in Alice, Texas.
