Felix Andrew Pawelek, Jr., age 80, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. He was born in Fashing Texas on April 11, 1937 to Florentina Moczygemba and Felix Nicodem Pawelek, Sr.
He attended high school in Dilley, Texas where he played on the undefeated State Champion Football Team. He began working in the oilfield after high school and shortly after, married his wife Nelda. He eventually started his own oilfield company, AMG Well Service, which he owned and operated until his retirement. He enjoyed ranching and had a passion for raising all different kinds of animals. His greatest love was being a Paw Paw to his five granddaughters and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Nelda Pawelek, his parents and eleven siblings, Theresa, Pete, Frank, Stella, Nick, Clem, Ben, Jesse, Sylvester, John, and Robert.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory, three sons, Andrew (Audra) Pawelek of Yoakum, Michael (Becky) Pawelek of Ingleside, and Glenn (Cindy) Pawelek of Orange Grove; five granddaughters, Natalie, Kirsten, Jacy, Jordan, and Kelsey; two sisters, Rosie (John) Barta of Pearland and Emma Jasik of Pleasanton.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.
Interment will follow at George West Cemetery in George West, Texas.
